Burgess Park

Burgess Park is Southwark's largest park, covering 56 hectares from Camberwell and Walworth in the west to Peckham and the Old Kent Road in the east. In 2012, Burgess Park re-opened after an £8m transformation.
Camberwell Green

Camberwell Green lies at a busy crossroads in the centre of Camberwell. A small area of common land, it was once a traditional village green on which, for several centuries, an annual fair was held. Today, Camberwell Green is home to a number of regular events such as The Elephant and the Nun, and home to a Farmer's and Artisan's Market on the first Saturday of the month.

Calton Avenue Area

Dulwich Park

Dulwich Park is a big and beautiful park, recently refurbished with funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, in the south of the borough. It plays host to a number of regular events each year including Dulwich Fair, Barnardo's Big Toddle and Screen on the Green.

Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park

Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park is the impressive backdrop to the Imperial War Museum. It plays host to a number of events each year including Friends of Geraldine Mary Harmsworth Park events, Nightrider and London Southbank University graduation ceremonies.

Goose Green

Once common land, this site was preserved as a public open space by the Camberwell Vestry. The Green is well used as a venue for local community events including Dulwich Festival Fair and Goose Green School Summer Fair.

Lucas Gardens

A small Victorian Park providing a pleasant retreat, located opposite Southwark Town Hall. This park is an ideal space for events, and has previously set the scene for The Elephant and the Nun, theatrical performances and Refugee Arts Week Celebrations.
