Balfour Street improvements

Works progress

Work on the junction of Munton Road and Balfour Street has been completed and the final works to resurface the road will begin on 10 February and last until 16 February 2020.

Key information about these works:

• work will take place over 6 nights beginning on Monday 10 February and finishing on Sunday16 February 2020
• work will be undertaken at night between the hours of 8pm to 5am, and roads will be closed to all vehicle traffic during these times
• any work that could cause noise or vibrations will be undertaken between the hours of 8pm to midnight

Roads to be resurfaced include Balfour Street, Munton Road, Victory Place, John Maurice Close, Henshaw Street, Chatham Street, Rodney Road, Steed Street, Orb Street and Wadding Street. To complete these works it is necessary to close these roads while resurfacing is taking place. Traffic diversions will be in place during this time and pedestrian access will be kept at all times.

It will not be possible to enter or exit Munton Road, Victory Place, John Maurice Close, Henshaw Street, or Chatham Street between the hours of 8pm and 5am.  Should you need access to your vehicle during this time, please find suitable parking nearby.
