Weston Loan Programme - Garfield Weston Foundation and Art Fund

Grants of up to £35,000 are available to cover the practical elements of strategic loans projects. The programme also funds activities to maximise the impact of the loaned items and to develop the skills of museum professionals.

Autumn 2023 Fund - Freelands Foundation

Freelands Foundation works to broaden access to art education and the visual arts across the UK. Grants of £50k to 150k per year, for up to three years from visual arts organisations. Programmes should build collaborative relationships between schools and visual art organisations through projects that centre teachers within creative approaches to art education.

Arts for Impact - Big Give

Fund available for Arts and Culture charities seeking to raise either £1,000, £2,500, £5,000, or £10,000 in public donations (to be doubled by the match funds). Charities must have arts and culture as their core misson and are looking for funds to support transformational impact for the people engaging with the charity.

Windrush Day Grant Scheme 2024 - Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities

The Windrush Day Grant Scheme supports groups to commemorate, celebrate and educate people about the contribution of the Windrush generation and their descendants across communities in our country.  Funded projects will help people join together in celebrating the arrival of the MV Empire Windrush.

Southwark Community Energy Fund - Southwark Council

The fund is for projects from schools, faith groups and community groups to produce renewable energy, improve the energy efficiency of buildings and reduce carbon emissions. This could be with building improvements or green technology like solar panels or heat pumps. Part of the fund is also available to help create or expand local community energy groups in the borough. The fund is intended for community buildings and is not available for private residential properties. It is also not available for commercial groups and organisations.

Ongoing funds:

Southwark Pioneers Fund - Southwark Council's ambitious  programme of support for business founders and aspiring entrepreneurs in Southwark. It offers two programmes for entrepreneurs at different stages:

Artcry - This fund aims to encourage artists to create bold political work. A panel of artists, activists, creators and producers make decisions on applications within seven daysto enable fast action.

Arts Council National Lottery Project Grants - Open access programme for arts, museums and libraries projects with grants of £1,000 to £100,000.

Arts and Culture Impact Fund -  £23 million social impact investment fund for socially driven arts, culture and heritage organisations registered and operating in the UK. The fund offers loans between £150,000 and £1 million repayable until May 2030.

Charterhouse Grants - Charterhouse in Southwark is a grant-making trust which supports charitable organisations that run programmes and projects for disadvantaged young people in the Borough of Southwark. Trustees meet to review applications in February, June and October.

Creative Debuts Black Artists Grant - No-strings attached financial support to help Black creatives based in the UK. They can spend the grant on whatever they want – be that make new work, buy equipment or materials, travel, research, visit exhibitions or conferences, or to even just cover some life expenses.

Creative Debuts Working Class Creatives Grant - No-strings attached financial support to help U.K based creatives of all ages and has been set up in response to the cost of living crisis. Each month one recipient will receive £500 to spend however they like.

Creative UK Creative Growth Finance - loans of £100,000 to £1m that will help creative businesses to grow. 

Future Strategy Club Impact Fund - Peckham-based members club for freethinking freelancers, is offering £2000 of FSC member resource to social impact entrepreneurs for free, to help them get their start-up ideas off the ground.

National Heritage Memorial Fund - Funding to help buy anything which is of outstanding importance to the national heritage and either at risk or of memorial character. In exceptional circumstances this fund is also open for emergency repairs when a heritage asset (excluding buildings and structures) is at imminent risk of irreparable damage.
