About me and my connection to Southwark
My work is principally interested in the themes of legacy and memory; how they define the material world around us, shape the stories that we tell ourselves, and intersect with the queer experience. My practice also explores human-centred futurisms and technologies as a reaction against those proposed by capital forces, often focussing around our contemporary political moment and issues of social justice and class consciousness.
My work often takes the form of an installation or an immersive experience, informed by my former life as a theatre director and filmmaker. My work has been exhibited in a combination of group and solo shows, including the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition, Deptford X Festival fringe, the Queer Artists Now exhibition (part of FRINGE! Queer Film Festival), and the London Art Biennale.
I have lived and worked in Peckham for the last decade.
