Offer of a secondary school place
Southwark Council no longer sends offer letters by post. Instead, you'll receive an email from eAdmissions after 5pm on 3 March 2025 to confirm your child’s offer of a secondary school place and provide information on what to do next. If you do not receive this email, check your junk mail folder. If you still have not received the email by 4 March, email Southwark Council’s school admissions team.
You can also find out the outcome of your application by logging into the eAdmissions website using your unique user name and password on the evening of 3 March 2025.
Application results won't be provided over the phone.
Please note that the offer of a school place is conditional until proof of address has been confirmed by the school. The following original copies will be required:
- child benefit documentation; or if you're no longer eligible to receive child benefit you'll need a letter from the HMRC confirming you were previously in receipt of child benefit
- Council Tax bill
- one other proof of address (TV licence, bank statement, credit/store card statement)
If the council or an admission authority has reason to suspect that a family doesn't live at the address stated on the application, we'll carry out an investigation. If we discover that a parent is making a fraudulent claim, the offer of a place will be withdrawn.
Respond to your offer of a school place
Your child’s offer will be automatically accepted if you're a Southwark resident and his/her details will be forwarded to the allocated school after 17 March 2025.
This offer of a school place will remain available unless you notify us of any other suitable alternative arrangement for education that has been made for your child. You must notify the school admissions team by email, and include your unique application reference number by 17 March 2025 so that another child may be offered the place.
The Department for Education website offers advice and information to parents on a wide range of school-related issues, including the school admissions code and the school admission appeals code.
