Admissions criteria
All secondary schools in Southwark are non-community and comprise academies, voluntary aided, foundation and academy free schools.
They are their own admissions authority and responsible for setting their own admission arrangements. Our school admissions team coordinates admission applications for all schools. In cases where a decision not to offer a place has been made, parents/carers must contact the non-community school directly for further details.
All admission authorities are responsible for ensuring that their arrangements are fair, clear and compliant with current regulations. If you have a query about a particular arrangement, raise it directly with the relevant admission authority (for example, the school). If your query remains unresolved and relates to a Southwark school, email us at schools.admissions@southwark.gov.uk.
You can view these schools' admission criteria from page 21 onwards in the Starting secondary school in Southwark 2025/26 brochure (PDF, 1.6mb).
