The council has published many other studies, plans and strategies that help inform the development of our policies. They contain aims and objectives that our planning policies and guidance seek to deliver.

Waste Management Strategy

The Waste Management Strategy 2003-2021 ^{(PDF, 1.9mb)} sets out how we'll meet our responsibility as a local authority to ensure waste is collected, reduced and recycled in a sustainable manner.

Contaminated Land Strategy

The Contaminated Land Strategy 2012-2017 ^{(PDF, 1.6mb)} sets out the council’s strategic approach to inspecting contaminated land and identifying risk.

Cemetery Strategy

The Cemetery Strategy (2012)

seeks to address the chronic shortage of burial space in the borough.
focuses on practical options for burial within Southwark's current cemetery areas, taking account of potential options for burial outside of those areas.
