Design Review Panel
The Design Review Panel consists of innovative and distinguished architecture and design practitioners with significant design expertise and can offer highly skilled independent advice on all aspects of design and development.
The panel meets monthly and reviews various publically significant development proposals across the borough. Development proposals are presented to the panel by the applicant. The panel then produces a report of their comments that's passed to planning officers for consideration. While the panel's role is purely advisory, the panel's comments can carry weight when decisions are made on planning applications.
The role of the design review
The design review ensures high design standards within the borough by assessing the design of a proposal and suggesting ways to improve its quality. Find more information on the design review process.
