Sustrans pocket places project has been working on several sites of under-utilised street space and working creatively with the community to find new ways of greening up the spaces and bringing them back into use eg pop-up seat/gardens |

Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) and local area initiatives |
BIDs bring communities together to improve the local environment, often with opportunities to volunteer or get involved. Examples are Team London Bridge and Better Bankside. Bankside Open Spaces Trust (BOST) also runs area-wide gardening activities in SE1 and maintains several garden spaces including the award-winning Red Cross Garden. |
