Community Trigger

If several reports of antisocial behaviour have been made with no action taken, residents can use the Community Trigger to demand action.

When to trigger

You can ask for the Community Trigger to be activated if no action has been taken after you've complained to the council, police or a Registered Housing Provider about 3 separate incidents of antisocial behaviour in the last 6 months.

How to trigger

If you think that your issue or concern is relevant to the Community Trigger and meets the criteria, you'll need to fill out the online form.

Alternatively, you can write to:

Southwark Anti Social Behaviour Unit
160 Tooley Street
SE1 2QH

What happens next

Once you've asked for a Community Trigger, your case will be referred to the Southwark Anti Social Behaviour Unit. A member of the Anti Social Behaviour Unit will contact you to discuss your trigger application. This may involve holding a multi agency meeting to look at all aspects of your case.

You'll be appointed an officer who will keep you informed what's happening at all stages of the process.

If you'd like to discuss your situation with the Anti Social Behaviour Unit, call the ASB Hotline on 020 7525 5777
