Active Southwark Olympic Legacy Fund
Application process
- If you have met the online eligibility you can access the grant application portal, start your online application form, and submit once completed
- An advisory panel including external advisor/s from London Sport and Community Southwark will review applications and agree on the application shortlist. The shortlist is then revised and agreed by the Cabinet Member for Transport, Parks and Sport
- The panel will check:
- if the idea is feasible and fits the grant criteria and commitments
- how and when the idea might be implemented
- how much the idea might cost
- whether the idea is sustainable
- sometimes, proposals may have to be adapted to meet local requirements or split into more than one application (we will contact you if your idea needs changes)
- you will be advised if your idea is more suitable for revenue funding and asked to apply to the Neighbourhoods Fund
- Cabinet Member for Transport, Parks and Sport considers the proposals and costs for all shortlisted projects and approves them
- For medium and larger-sized grants, if you are successful with the initial application, you will be asked for follow-up information such as:
- development plan
- business plan
- quotes (at least 3 quotes are needed for any costs for projects over £5,000)
- accounts
- details of planning permission needed (If your project can not get planning permission your project will be cancelled and the funding allocated returned to the council)
- architect and survey designs
- Decision notifications are sent to applicants via email
