What happens if you don't pay your rent
If you don’t pay or contact us, we’ll ask you to come for an appointment where you’ll need to explain why you didn’t pay. We’ll look at what help you may need, for example by arranging payment in instalments.
If you don’t pay your arrears or keep to your repayment arrangement, we’ll start legal action and ask the court for an order to repossess your home. If we evict you, we won’t rehouse you and you’ll still owe your rent arrears and our legal costs.
