District heating
We have one of the highest number of homes heated by heat networks anywhere in the country. With around 17,000 homes connected to over a hundred boiler houses, it's important that we invest in and improve our district heating services. You can read more about them through the pages below.

In 2019, we committed to decarbonising the borough and heat networks are a big part of that. In 2021 the council agreed a Heat Networks Strategy. This reflects how we plan to operate and invest in our networks in the coming years.
