Extend your lease

We aim to respond within 10 working days, however due to a high influx of applications, there may be a delay to our current response time. We would like to assure you we are processing all applications and will be responding to you as soon as possible

The Leasehold Reform allows leaseholders of flats to extend their lease by 90 years if they meet certain criteria. Therefore, if a leaseholder with 100 years remaining on his lease completes a lease extension, the additional 90 years will be added to the 100 years remaining. The leaseholder will then own a 190 year lease.

In circumstances where we don't own the freehold of your building but instead hold a leasehold interest, we'll need consent from the freeholder.

You should seek professional advice to find out if you're able to extend your lease, or visit the Leasehold Advisory Service website. This website contains a lease extension calculator, which provides a rough estimate of how much it will cost.

Fees

  • £362.00 administration fee to process the application
  • if approved, valuation and new lease fees will apply
