Buying the freehold of your building from us

Ways to acquire the freehold

If you meet the qualifying criteria to purchase the freehold interest, you can proceed by using one of the following:

Statutory route

Will have strict time limits for responses. To start the process, you must serve us a notice in the form stipulated by section 13 of the Leasehold Reform. We'll have two months to respond. We recommend you seek professional advice when drafting the notice, as any inaccuracies may invalidate the notice. We strongly recommend you seek legal advice before submitting.

Voluntary scheme

There are no strict time limits. This scheme allows us to sell the freehold after leaseholders have purchased the building's freehold in equal shares.

If you wish to serve a notice on the council, email or write to us.
