Black Culture Conversation
Governance, Planning and Reporting
September to December 2023
The first stage of the Black Culture Conversation will focus on governance, planning and project management. It will include overseeing and allocating the tasks required to achieve the project outcomes, including a final report of the findings from the public conversation.
We are recruiting a collective of individuals and organisations to lead the conversation. All of these are paid roles. Working in collaboration, they will ensure that all relevant voices are heard and represented.
There are three kinds of paid roles available. You can apply to undertake one or several of the roles. You must be over 18 to apply. All we ask is that you are clear about what you are applying for and confident that you have the availability to deliver the work within the timeframe.
Southwark Council is committed to widening access to culture and we strive to work with people who reflect our local communities and audiences and express or support creativity that is relevant to contemporary multi-cultural London.
We encourage applications from people who are underrepresented in the creative and cultural sector and/or face discrimination, including people who experience racism, identify as working class, identify as having a disability or are from the LGBTQ+ community.
