Parent to Parent Peer Advocacy
Parent to Parent Peer Advocacy is a new approach in Southwark for parents with experience of children’s services to use their knowledge to support other parents and carers.
What is a parent advocate?
A parent advocate is a parent who has had previous experience of children’s services and has received training to become an advocate to support other parents. A parent advocate can use their experiences to help other parents to express their views, understand their rights, and work with professionals to receive the right support for their family.
