Help with parenting

Being a parent can be very rewarding. However, we know that starting a family and bringing up young children can be difficult. There are times when any parent or carer needs some extra support.

Help is available to parents and carers in Southwark. There's a range of free programmes and activities to support you with everyday parenting challenges, including:

evidence based parenting programmes to enhance your parenting skills
peer support groups including for fathers and male carers
support to help improve your family‘s health and wellbeing
access to other groups in your community
online tips and guidance for dealing with new and difficult situations
a panel where you can help to shape local services
