Fathers and male carers
Specific help is available for new fathers and male caregivers in Southwark.
Future Dads
Future Dads is a one-day course for new and expectant dads. The course takes place at Kings College Hospital and includes:
- practical skills
- the importance of being a dad
- relationships and self-care
- a midwife on hand to answer your questions about birth and beyond

Future Men
Future men provides 1:1 informal support, help and advice out in the community. The project engages fathers, recognising the importance of their care and responsibilities in raising children.

Fathers group
This ten-week programme at is for any man with caring responsibility for a child. It's a safe, confidential space to discuss parenting challenges. It covers:
- the important role of a Father
- communication and positive discipline
- boundary setting
- managing difficult behaviours
- fathers and the law

Stay and play sessions: fathers and male carers
A play session, where you and your little ones can meet other children and male carers. Sessions take place at 1st Place Children and Parents Centre
