Mayor’s Good Work Standard

How can you become accredited

To sign up to the Good Work Standard, there are some simple steps to take:

  1. The first step you must take is to complete an online self-assessment on the GLA website. This assessment focuses on the legal requirements necessary for employers to provide a safe and fair workplace.
  2. Once you have confirmed you meet the minimum criteria through the self-assessment, you can progress to the formal accreditation process. There are two levels of accreditation: achievement and excellence. As an employer, you will need to demonstrate you have achieved a range of requirements and provide the evidence in order to reach the necessary benchmark.
  3. The GLA will send a request for evidence, based on the answers that have been submitted through the online assessment which will be presented to a panel for evaluation.
  4. Following the evaluation, you will receive formal notification of the awarded accreditation level.

You can find more information on the requirements of the Good Work Standard on the GLA website.
