How do I use the service?

To use this service:

  • fill your silver five litre kitchen caddy to collect food waste.
  • empty your caddy into your communal food waste recycling bin.
  • rinse the caddy.
  • repeat

What goes in the food waste recycling bins?

Any food – cooked or uncooked, can be placed in the food waste recycling bins, including; 

  • eggs and dairy products
  • fruit and vegetables
  • tea bags and coffee grounds
  • meat, fish and bones
  • bread, pasta and rice
  • plate scrapings

Is there anything that should not be placed inside the food waste bins?

Only food waste should be placed in the food waste recycling bins. Do not put anything else in the bin, including: 

  • liquids and oils
  • plastic bags 
  • packaging
  • garden waste
