When to use the online form
You can use the online form to request removal of any waste and recycling containers that are no longer in use, and are an obstruction of the highway or footpath. Abandoned bins often attract litter and flytipping, and can cause nuisance to nearby residents and businesses.
When reporting an abandoned bin please provide information about the location, the type of bin, and whether it is overflowing or any other problems arising from it. We will investigate each complaint to see what action can be taken. This might result in the bin being removed, or being returned to its user for storage on their premises.
