March 2010
Planning permission is granted for St Thomas the Apostle College.
March 2010
Tuke School celebrates a milestone in the construction of their new school with a brick laying ceremony.
November 2009
Southwark wins three awards at the Partnerships for Schools Excellence in BSF awards - Local Authority of the year, Best Change Programme and Design Advisor of the year for Catherine Brownell from 4 Futures.
October 2009
4 Futures, Southwark's local education partnership, is officially launched in a ceremony where students challenge the 4 Futures partners to deliver their promise of inspirational learning environments.
May 2009
Southwark Council reaches financial close on the procurement of 4 Futures, Southwark's local education partnership. Over the next five years, 4 Futures will work with Southwark Council to invest more than £200m to transform education across the borough.
May 2009
Construction begins on the first two schools in the secondary programme - the new Tuke School and St Michael's Catholic School.
March 2009
Planning permission is granted for St Michael's Catholic School and Tuke School.
September 2010
The new Tuke School is completed.
January 2011
The new St Michael's Roman Catholic College is completed.
June 2011
Southwark wins an award at the 'Best of British School Awards' for 'Advisor of the Year' for Catherine Bates from 4 Futures, and is shortlisted under the categories 'Excellence in Design - SEN: Tuke School' and 'Local Authority of the Year: Southwark Council'.
July 2011
Construction commences for Bredinghurst, Notre Dame and St Saviour's and St Olave's Schools.
September 2011
The new Spa School is completed.
December 2011
Construction commences for the co-located St Michael and All Angel's Academy and Highshore School.
