Pelier Park

Pelier Park has now re-opened following construction works to improve the park. The improvements have:

• created a more welcoming and attractive park
• improved access with new entrances and improved footpaths
• created a new ‘social heart’ with an area for table tennis and basketball play
• improved the play area for toddlers with new double swings, climbing equipment with a slide, roundabout and springers, within an enclosed space
• increased the benefit to wildlife with a new nature area, wildlife-friendly planting across the park and 14 new trees
• installed new seating including a picnic bench

2nd public consultation

The second consultation was in autumn 2020. Three options were consulted on and the results of this consultation are available to download below:

3rd community consultation

Based on the feedback from these consultations, the design was updated to one design.

The public had a final opportunity to comment on the design between 25 May and 13 June 2021, including during a virtual meeting. The results of this consultation and the updated design are available to download below:

Planning permission was received on 11 February 2022. You can view the planning application (22/AP/1500) on the planning register.
