Home care workers' parking permits
If you're a home care worker, you can use a parking permit whilst visiting clients. Your care support company must apply for the permits, as we don't issue permits to individuals.
Each approved company can hold up to five permits, which can be transferred between its home care workers and their vehicles.

How to apply
All eligible care support companies must request permits in writing with the company's logo by email to parking@southwark.gov.uk or by post to:

- £133 for a 12-month permit
Where can I use the permit
The permits are valid within all of our controlled parking zones. You can view our controlled parking zone map page to find where to park.
Permit holders can:
- wait for up to three hours on single and double yellow lines (where no loading restrictions are in place)
- park in parking meter or pay and display bays, shared use bays, resident bays and permit holders bays
- park in council-run car parks for a maximum of two hours
Permit holders cannot:
- park in doctor, business and disabled bays or footways
- park in pedestrian crossings marked with white zig-zag
- park in school zones marked with yellow zig-zag or bus stops/stands
