Southwark Remembers 2019

Remembrance Sunday
The official borough service for Remembrance Sunday will take place at The Southwark Memorial, Walworth Square, SE16, on Sunday 10 November 2019 at 10.50am, ahead of the nationwide two minute silence at 11am.
It will be led by The Venerable Dr Jane Steen, Archdeacon of Southwark, accompanied by members of the clergy from of the Parish, and joined by other religious representatives of the district.
Guests are asked to assemble in the square by 10.45am and the service will be followed by light refreshments at The Tap Inn, on the corner of Sayer Street and Walworth Square, SE17 1FG.
There will also be the traditional Remembrance services taking place through out the borough and at St Saviour’s War Memorial, Borough High Street, SE1, arranged in conjunction with Southwark Cathedral, The Most Precious Blood along with local Ward Councillors and any interested parties. Council Armistice Service
The Mayor will be attending the borough’s service for Armistice Day 2019 at West Lane War Memorial off Jamaica Road, London SE16, on Monday 11 November 2019 at 10.45am. It will be led by Canon Gary Jenkins, assisted by clergy of the district. Guests are asked to assemble by 10.30am and the service will be followed by light refreshments in Cherry Gardens T&RA Hall 210 Jamaica Road SE16 4RT
