Our hall is a flexible space suitable for a variety of events, including
- school activities
- birthday parties
- community classes
- other special functions
Hall closing times
Closing hours for the hall vary during summer and winter hours.
Summer hours - BST are 9am-6:30pm
Winter hours - GMT are 9am-4:00pm

Booking window
You can book up to one week in advance.
Cancellation policy
- Cancellations 4 weeks or more before your event - You'll receive a full refund of your hire fee.
- Cancellations less than 4 weeks before your event - No refund will be given. However, you may reschedule your booking for another available date. Please note, no refund is possible once a date has been amended.
Cancellations by Southwark Council Parks Management
We reserve the right to cancel your booking by written notice if
- The council reserves the right to cancel or amend any booking where a community rate is been applied to commercial activities.
- We believe the booking will violate licensing conditions, legal requirements, or lead to unlawful or unsuitable activities.
- In such cases, you will receive a full refund of any fees paid. Southwark Council is not liable for any other direct or indirect losses or damages resulting from our cancellation.
- The premises become unsuitable for your intended use.
- An emergency requires the premises for essential community support.
Community rate eligibility
The community rate applies to bookings made by registered charities or not-for-profit organisations. Registered charities must provide charity registration number at time of booking. Rooms booked at the community rate cannot be used for events where the public is charged for entry, goods or services.
To access the discounted community rate, add your organisation to your MySouthwark account. Go to My Account > My Room Bookings > My Organisations and update your details.
Southwark School rate eligibility
We offer a reduced Southwark School rate. To qualify you must be from an educational institution providing nursery, pre-school, primary, secondary, adult or SEN education.
Peak bookings £28.65 per hour
Off-peak bookings (before 5 pm): £15.50 per hour
Available facilities
- Full hall usage: Host your event with ample space for your needs.
- Outside paved area: Doors that open into the park, however outside isn't exclusive
- Toilets: Shared restrooms are available within the building. (Please note: these are also accessible to the general public due to the room layout.)
- Utilities: Access to fridge, microwave, water
- Tables and chairs: Seating and surfaces are provided.
- Extras: You are welcome to bring your own caterers and entertainers
Important notes
- Cutlery is not provided.
- Decorations - Gazebos, bouncy castles, helium balloons, and anything that may damage walls or doors are prohibited.
- Noise levels - Amplified music must be kept within reasonable levels to avoid disturbing the surrounding area.
- Ensure you include time for setting up and packing down before and after your event. The hall must be vacated before closing time.

Call the idverde South Area Park Attendant at 07974 325904 (for day-of-event assistance only) from 12pm in Summer hours and 11am in Winter.
If you would like the number of the on-duty weekend supervisor for morning assistance please email into parks@southwark.gov.uk as a minimum by the Thursday before your booking to recieve contact information.
