Important safety notice – potential issue affecting your boiler
The manufacturer Ideal Heating, has identified a potential issue affecting a small proportion of their range of boilers. If an excessive volume of air becomes trapped inside the boiler in a fault condition, it could cause the boiler to overheat and fail. To fix this issue a heating engineer will need to visit your home to make a small modification to your boiler. The visit will be free of charge and take 30 to 60 minutes. To register for the upgrade, we need you to confirm your contact details at www.idealsupport.co.uk.
You can continue to use your boiler. However, we advise you check that its pressure gauge is as close to 1.5bar as possible.
If your boiler is at less than one bar and you are unable to repressurise it, please do one of the following:

The communal heating system is changing to winter mode across the borough in phases on 16 and 17 October 2025. This is due to the outside temperatures dropping below 17°C in the day and below 10°C in the evening for 5 consecutive days.

The main water pipe has been exposed and revealing a split approximately 2.3 metres long underneath the pipe. Further 4-6 metres excavation will be needed on both sides to expose the full length of the split.
Work is currently paused while a technical specialist assesses a nearby BT post to ensure it’s safe for us to continue digging in the area. Once it’s confirmed safe, our team will restart repair work and move into deeper excavation as needed’. As per Tracker - Thames water contacted at 07:00 and spoke to Ostin, regarding outage ref: 01349633, effecting Gallery Road in Dulwich, SE21 7AD – Ostin advised that works have been completed and issue resolved since 18th October. Ostin advised that it's now down to property management / repairs to reset pumps. Call was logged under TW ref: 01355752. |
