Supporting your employees during COVID-19
Find out your legal responsibilities as a business for the health, safety, and welfare of your employees during COVID-19.
Supporting employees to get their COVID-19 vaccine
If your employees have not yet received a COVID-19 vaccination or booster, you can support and encourage them to get vaccinated. The vaccines are safe and effective and give them the best protection against COVID-19. The vaccine also helps reduce the risk of staff catching or spreading COVID-19 in the workplace. Find out about COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters in Southwark.
You can also signpost staff to NHS vaccine facts which has helpful FAQs.
If an employee has COVID-19 or symptoms of COVID-19
Employees that have tested positive for COVID-19 or have symptoms of COVID-19 should follow the latest government guidance on what to do if you have COVID-19.
Protecting those who are at higher risk of COVID-19
Some groups are at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19. See guidance on which groups are at higher risk from COVID-19 and how to protect those who were previously in the clinically extremely vulnerable category.

Regularly tell your staff if you have an employee assistance programme or access to a counselling service.
You can direct your staff to our taking care of your mind advice. This has advice on how you can improve your mental wellbeing, as well as your family’s.
You could signpost your staff to our list of local mental health support services for children and adults.
Email our Public Health team if you'd like more information on improving the health or your employees.
