Project description

The Signs Project was instigated when residents wanted to find creative ways to make Sceaux Gardens more accessible and easier to negotiate and to improve the overall experience of their local area.

“My aim was to propose a vivid, powerful presence at one of the main entrances to the estate incorporating a clear text that highlights the key concerns of ownership, communication, representation, community and collaboration.

The design takes its basis from the pattern of windows found on the tower block and replaces their hard grid with overlapping circles and sweeping arcs.”
