Blue plaques

The Southwark blue plaque scheme honours the icons of Southwark - the most evocative people and places of the borough, or those who have made the biggest impact within its borders and beyond.

The scheme is now led by the Southwark Heritage Association. You can find detailed lists of past winners on their website, as well as instructions on how to nominate someone.

This year’s blue plaque nominees are listed in Southwark's libraries and in the Southwark News.

To vote, go to your local library and fill in a voting card by 15 September.
