Get free green energy advice
The Energy Advice Centre at London Southbank University (LSBU) is a partnership between Southwark Council and LSBU. The centre can provide free expert advice on:
- changes you can make to save energy around your home
- grants and funding that may be available for you to make green home upgrades (such as solar panels or air source heat pumps)
- retrofit measures to your property (including double-glazing and loft insulation)
- how to keep your home cooler when the weather is hot
An expert advisor can help identify which measures are best for your home. This could be as simple as switching to LED light bulbs or a more detailed approach to upgrading an air source heat pump. You'll need to provide basic information about your home and how you'd like to make it more sustainable.
The Energy Advice Centre is available both in-person and online.
The service is student-led and unable to provide recommendations on contractors or installers for home upgrades.
You can also visit the Energy Advice Centre at:
- Clarence Centre for Enterprise and Innovation, 126 London Road, Southwark, SE1 0AE (find Energy Advice Centre on Google Maps)
- open Thursdays, 10am to 1pm
If you need help with your energy costs, Southwark Energy Savers Service can advise and see if you're eligible for help paying your energy bills.
