Parenting support programmes
The Family Early Help Parenting team offers these free courses to support different parenting needs. The programmes are led by other parents from our Southwark communities.
Baby and Us
This 9 week course is part of the Empowering Parents Empowering Communities (EPEC) programme. It covers:
- understanding baby cues
- coping with challenges
- positive interactions between parent and baby
- supporting child parent attachment
- managing parental stress
Being a parent
This 9 week course is part of the Empowering Parents Empowering Communities (EPEC) programme. It covers:
- the positives and challenges faced by parents
- the importance of parents having time for themselves
- supporting child-parent attachment
- promoting positive behaviours in children
- improved communication and family interactions\

Reducing Parental Conflict
We know some level of arguing between parents is a normal part of life. However when it is frequent, intense and poorly resolved, it can have a negative impact on children.
Southwark parents can access free online learning from OnePlusOne. These courses can help support relationships and help you understand the potential impact on children.
