Free vitamin D scheme

Who can get free vitamin D supplements

Pregnant women, new mums and children under four living in Southwark can get free vitamin D supplements.

Why you need vitamin D

If you’re pregnant, supplements help you and your developing baby get enough vitamin D. As they grow up, not having enough vitamin D can make your child more at risk of rickets (bowed legs), seizures and even heart failure in rare cases.

How long you can get supplements for

You can continue to get free vitamin D supplements for a year after giving birth, and vitamin D drops for your child until they reach four-years-old.

Where to get free vitamin D from a Southwark or Lambeth pharmacy

You can collect your free vitamin D supplements from various pharmacies in Southwark and Lambeth.
