Prize gaming permit

If you operate a business offering games of chance for prizes such as card games, you must have a permit.

The permit is valid for 10 years.

How to apply for a permit

Apply for a new grant or change of name of a prize gaming permit

Once your application has been submitted and paid for online, it's automatically sent to the responsible authorities, so there is no need for applicants to send in paper hard copies.

Tacit consent

Your permit will only be issued when all necessary inspections /checks have been carried out and the premises meets the required standards.

Failed application redress

Any person who is refused a permit can appeal to the Magistrates Court.

Permit holder redress

Any permit holder who objects to any of the conditions attached to a permit may appeal to the Magistrates Court.
