After you've applied

Once all your documents have been received and processed, we will return your original documents together with your badge and licence.

Renewal of personal licences

Due to the introduction of recent legislation (Deregulation Act 2015), you are no longer required to renew your personal licence on its expiry date.

You don't need to take any action unless you change your name or address or your badge is lost, stolen or damaged.

Change of name or address

If you change your home address or name, complete the change of details online form. We will send you a replacement card.

Lost, stolen or damaged badges

The police no longer issue a crime reference number for the loss or theft of a personal licence.

Complete the change of details online form if you have lost your card, ensuring that you state on the form where and when the licence was lost or stolen. Also, please upload a passport size photograph of yourself to verify your identity.

The cost for change of details is £10.50.
